Sky Mirror

Created for De Pont Museum in Tilburg, Sky Mirror (for Hendrik) is the first permanent outdoor sculpture by Anish Kapoor in the Netherlands and a unique work within the artist's celebrated Sky Mirror series.

The sculpture features a highly polished stainless steel surface measuring approximately 2 × 6 metres, gently curved and suspended at a 30-degree angle above a circular brick pond connected to a second reflecting pool. The mirrored surface captures and transforms the surrounding sky, landscape, and changing light, creating an ever-evolving dialogue between sculpture, architecture, and environment.

Working in close collaboration with Anish Kapoor's studio, CIG helped with the engineering, fabrication, and installation of the sculpture. Delivering the work required exceptional precision to achieve its complex geometry and flawless mirrored finish, demonstrating CIG's expertise in realising technically demanding contemporary artworks at monumental scale.
