Located along the Bou Regreg river between Rabat and Salé, Mohammed VI Tower rises 250 meters and stands as the tallest building in Morocco and the third tallest in Africa. Designed by Rafael de La-Hoz together with Moroccan architect Hakim Benjelloun, the 55-storey skyscraper takes on a rocket-like form inspired by Benjelloun’s visit to a NASA flight simulation in 1969.

CIG contributed to the Observatory project within the tower, supporting the fabrication strategy and pre-assembly of the complex twisted mullion columns in collaboration with Eversendai, BESIX Group, and Six Construct. Our scope included forming, welding, template engineering, trial assembly, and production preparation of the custom steel sections.

The project required a high level of precision to realize the twisted steel elements while maintaining consistency throughout production and assembly.
