Arnhem Central Transfer Terminal features a flowing design and a roof that spans up to 60 meters without a single column—demanding a rethink of traditional construction. CIG replaced the original all-concrete concept with a lighter steel solution, shaping the structure with shipbuilding techniques.

We provided design assistance, structural engineering, material selection, production, pre-assembly, and on-site installation, delivering a fluid space that sets a precedent for transport hubs.

Located in Piazza Italia at Expo 2015 in Milan, The Wings by Daniel Libeskind consisted of four monumental sculptural structures positioned at the corners of the Expo’s central square. Rising 10 meters high, each sculpture spiraled upward from the ground before branching outward into illuminated wings spanning across the public space.
